Artist Development
Ages 7+
YAMP's Artist Development program offers guitar students a structured path to mastering their instrument. Students learn to play their favorite songs, explore various genres of music, and build a strong foundation in guitar technique and music theory. Lessons are a combination of weekly private lessons and occasional group musicianship classes where they gain valuable performance experience in a casual environment and learn to play in an ensemble setting.

Our Artist Development program follows the leveled approach provided by the RCM Certificate Program. This ensures that students are progressing in repertoire, technique, and musicianship simultaneously. Students are not required to take RCM exams, but are welcome to do so!

Musicianship Classes are 60-minute classes held on specific weeks throughout the lesson year in place of the student's weekly private lesson. They are an opportunity for students to build camaraderie with one another, gain performance experience in a casual environment, and learn to play in an ensemble setting.
