Financial Information
Annual Registration Fee
A $75 annual registration fee per student is due at enrollment and renews every 12 months on the student’s enrollment anniversary—or upon re-enrollment after withdrawal from YAMP. A $30 sibling discount applies to each additional student from the same family.
Tuition
Tuition in the Core program is a flat monthly fee that reserves a student’s spot at YAMP. It is not based solely on weekly lessons, but on a holistic educational experience designed to build confidence, creativity, and long-term success. This includes weekly lessons (ranging from 3 to 5 per month, depending on the calendar), YAMP Musicians Club events, performance opportunities, and select curricular materials. Notice of any tuition increase is provided each July.
Billing & Payment
Invoices are billed to your payment method in Opus1 on the 1st of each month via autopay. A $25 late fee applies to invoices unpaid by the 5th due to declined or missing payment methods. You can change your payment method at any time. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Step Up for Students (SUFS)
YAMP is a direct provider for the FES-UA, FTC, FES-EO, and PEP scholarships. SUFS scholarship recipients are required to have a payment method on file in Opus1. To use SUFS funds at YAMP, you must reserve funds corresponding with invoices due (available in the Opus1 portal) through the Education Market Assistant (EMA) before the 1st of the month. Funds not reserved through EMA by the 5th of the month will be billed to the payment method on file.
Commitment & Withdrawal
Your commitment is month-to-month. To withdraw, submit this form by the 15th of the month. Submissions after the 15th will result in billing for the following month (e.g., withdraw on May 16th or after → billed on June 1 → membership ends June 30). Your lesson time and unused student make-up credits will be forfeited when your membership ends. We do not offer refunds or tuition credits for unattended lessons.
Attendance
Student Absences
Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance, and reserves a student's lesson time on our schedule. No refunds or tuition credits are provided for missed lessons. We understand that things come up and you may need to miss a lesson. To provide you with flexibility in these cases, you may:
Cancel with 24+ Hours’ Notice through your Opus1 portal at least 24 hours in advance to receive a courtesy make-up credit. Make-up credits are not available for late cancellations, including for illness. In the case of illness, students may take advantage of the musicianship-building resources available in the YAMP Community Hub.
About make-up credits:
No more than 3 make-up credits can be pending at a time per membership.
They can be used in Opus1 to self-schedule a make-up lesson for another Accelerated Piano class anytime while enrolled.
They are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
They are not available for learning experiences outside of weekly lessons.
Teacher Absences
If a teacher must miss a lesson, a qualified substitute will be provided. If a substitute cannot be provided, the lesson will be canceled and a make-up credit will be issued to your Opus1 account. Make-up credits due to teacher cancellations do not expire and will be refunded upon student withdrawal. Teachers reserve the right to move in-person lessons online in the event they are ready to teach but not available in person.
Inclement Weather & Force Majeure
In the event of a weather-related closure or other unforeseen circumstance that prevents YAMP from providing services, a make-up credit will be issued.
Summer Lessons
There are 6 scheduled lesson weeks during the months of June and July. We do not offer tuition holds and cannot reserve lesson spots without ongoing enrollment. The above options are designed to provide flexibility for summer travel while keeping your enrollment active and your teacher and lesson time secured.
Communication
Communicating with Teachers
All communication with teachers is facilitated through your Opus1 account. Teachers are not able to provide you with personal contact information.
All scheduling, billing, and tuition matters are handled by the YAMP office.
Teachers are not able to assist with these. For assistance, contact the YAMP office by emailing info@youngartistmusicproject.com or texting 904-439-4308.
Housekeeping
Physical Touch
There may be times when an instructor touches the student in order to correct technique. If you or your child is uncomfortable with this, please make sure to notify your teacher.
Health
To protect the health of our community, we kindly request that your child not attend their lesson if they are displaying any symptoms of illness. We reserve the right to send them home if they appear sick, and the lesson will be forfeited.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
YAMP is not responsible for providing supervision before or after scheduled learning experiences. Early drop-offs or late pick-ups may be billed at $20 per 15-minute increment depending upon the circumstances.
Notices
Insufficient Enrollment
YAMP reserves the right to cancel or adjust any courses or events with insufficient enrollment.
Dismissal
YAMP reserves the right to discontinue enrollment due to frequent absences, behavioral concerns, overdue tuition, or non-compliance with studio policies. In such cases, prorated membership tuition will be refunded.
Recording
Video and audio recording may be used for child safety.
Photo/Video Release
Unless requested in writing, Young Artist Music Project (YAMP) is granted permission to photograph and/or record video of students for use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, social media, and other promotional materials. YAMP is also granted permission to copyright such media in its name, without compensation to the student or family.
Liability Release
You assume all risk of injury or harm to the child(ren) or adult(s) participating in activities at Young Artist Music Project LLC (YAMP), and agree to release, indemnify, defend, and forever discharge YAMP and its officers and staff from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, and expenses in the unlikely event of injury sustained during the course of, or as a result of participation in, YAMP activities.

YAMP does not discriminate on the basis of any religion, gender, race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin in granting access to the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the academy.
